Full Biography
Synman is an electronic and experimental artist based in Cape Town South Africa. His work explores texture, rhythm and emotion and is a deep expression of his personal artistic vision. Synman is the musical identity of Jarred Cinman.
He has studied music since his teenage years starting out as a classical guitarist and moving into electronic music composition in later years. He has studied with local teachers such as John Malan as well as having participated in global mentorships with Sarah Belle-Reid, Doug McAvoy and Guy Fforde.
For Synman, music is a personal endeavour, one that draws from the beautiful and challenging life experiences he has had and seeks to remove the filter between his mind and the world. He has never craved fame or an audience and has often said he would make the same music even if he knew no-one would ever hear it.
He released his first album in 2024 and his second album in April 2026.

Human Error
Pre-Release
Human Error is an IDM track that runs an AI on human craft. The voice is HAL 9000 — that flat, soulless diction Kubrick used to make artificial intelligence sound like nothing at all. Underneath it, everything is hand-built tradition: a funk drumbeat lifted from Redbone's "Prehistoric Rhythm" and programmed bar by bar from sheet music, a bassline written as evolving rhythm rather than harmony, hardware synths played by hand for the feel of it. The title cuts both ways — in an age of generative everything, the "error" is the human, and the human is the whole point.
